Dog Trainer One, Group

Description.

The focus of my business is to create an optimal environment in which you and your dog can learn. There are never more than four dog/handler teams in a class. The first class of this session is always without dogs. By using a system of exercises, we practice the mechanics of clicker training together, before we get the dog involved.

I send you home with your first week’s assignment to practice with your dog.

Over the course of six weeks you begin building a “tool-box” of 8-10 useful behaviors that you will use over the life time of your dog.

I give you a schedule of exercises to practice and we build on those exercises each week. All the classes are held in my training building in Westminster.

One session a week, 6 weeks, $165.00.

Dog Trainer Two, group.

Description.

Once your tool-box is well underway, we can now begin to strengthen your dog’s cues and add a little bit of distraction. We can do that in the training building by changing the picture (changing the context in which the dog does the behavior) and we can also go outside to practice. We may even decide to meet in a quiet parking lot somewhere and practice together in a new setting!

This class begins to generalize your tool-box of behaviors to slightly more difficult situations so your dog learns to generalize the behaviors to many environments.

The requirement for this class is to have completed Dog Trainer One.
